Taking place on Henderson Lake, the Dragon Boat Festival is an action packed weekend where teams compete against each other while paddling dragon boats. More and more popular each year, the festival also features live entertainment, KidsFest, BBQ and beer garden.

With events taking place at various locations across the city, the Annual Street Machine Weekend offers a range of events to get engines revving. Competitions include a 100 Foot Dash, Show and Shine, the Auto Slalom and the Cruise Control event. The event has been running since 1978.

Enjoy two days of spectacular air shows from international acts. In between are various civilian and military acts with such planes as a stealth bomber, CF-18 Hornet, gliders and more. The Canadian Forces Snowbirds are regular stars of the show. Many planes are also on display.

An annual event, Whoop-Up Days features a midway, fair, rodeo, grandstand shows and more. While much smaller than the Calgary Stampede, Whoop-Up Days is just as fun with the whole city getting involved with pancake breakfasts, western store fronts and western wear everywhere. Held at the Exhibition Grounds.
