Taking place on Henderson Lake, the Dragon Boat Festival is an action packed weekend where teams compete against each other while paddling dragon boats. More and more popular each year, the festival also features live entertainment, KidsFest, BBQ and beer garden.

Schizophrenia Society of Alberta, Lethbridge and Area branch is pleased to announce the first annual Open Minds Walk and Run, August 14th in Pavan Park. Open Minds Walk and Run will raise funding for programs and services for individuals with schizophrenia and their families. This event will consist of a 2.5 km fun run, a 5 km walk and run and a 10 km run. This will be followed by a party in the park including a BBQ and entertainment. This is a great opportunity to come out and enjoy the summer with friends and family or as an individual, while supporting a good cause.

To commemorate the anniversary of Terry’s Marathon of Hope, every school in Canada is invited to participate in the Terry Fox National School Run Day. This event will be held simultaneously at schools large and small from coast-to-coast.
