Lethbridge Fitness & Recreation Centres

With their professionally trained staff, they work with clients to help them achieve their life fitness goals and match their needs with one of their many training options. They offer various levels of group classes, personal training, nutritional advice, youth programs and build-your-own programming.

Built in 1982, Nicholas Sheran is one of the city's newest pools. Lessons, lane and open swim have scheduled times throughout the year. There are many facilities including main pool, tot pool, whirlpool, Tarzan Ball, Sky Walker, dry sauna and fitness area.

The YMCA is prominent fitness facility near the city centre. Along with a host of regular scheduled fitness classes from aerobics to swimming, the Y also offers fitness programs, from gymnastics to basketball. Classes and programs vary in age levels. Children's pool, gymnasium and weight room are just some of the facilities.

First opened in 19674, Stan Siwik Pool has been well-maintained. There are three pools: the main pool for lane swimming, a shallow pool for children, and a whirlpool for relaxation. The main pool is open at various times for open swimming and features a Tarzan ball, and one and three metre diving boards. Fitness facilities are also onsite. Swimming lessons available.

Drop-in and membership fitness facilities and classes. Along with regular scheduled classes, participants may use the the weight room. 604 Club members have access to a fitness lounge complete with treadmills, reading area, TV and whirlpool.

Located beside Henderson Lake and Nikka Yuko Gardens, this outdoor pool has nice views and comfortable surroundings. Opened in 1969, this pool has been well used. The main pool is fairly shallow and good for a range of ages. There is a children's pool as well as a deep end for diving. Grass surroundings and mature trees make the area great for suntanning and picnics. There is also a sand volleyball court. A concession sells ice-cream, fries, pop and more. There are lockers available for day use.
